from an Ottawa Citizen story: The Quinte Queen steamer was purchased to become the Kettle Island ferry less than a month after the sinking of the Titanic in 1912. The Quinte Queen partially sank in 1916 but was raised and repaired. It was later stranded and abandoned on the Kettle Island shore, leading to a 1921 court battle over salvage rights.
