Ab McDonald was very proud to call Winnipeg home. His remarkable career provided opportunity to live, work and play in other places but he never forgot the Weston area of our city where he spent his childhood. The Ab McDonald Foundation will support charitable activities that empower youth and adults alike who live in the Weston community to achieve their fullest potential. Ab was a leader and his Foundation will be particularly interested in promoting the development of leadership skills in schools, the community and of course, in sports. To honour the life of Ab, gifts in his memory can be made to the Ab McDonald Foundation. All gifts will be permanently endowed at The Winnipeg Foundation and the income earned from this endowment will be distributed annually as grants to community agencies.
